Cat among the Pigeons is not one of my favourite novels, it's one of the very few I find hard to get through, it's a little bit on the flat side. The changes they make to the TV adaptation benefit the story. It's slightly lighter in tone then some of the other episodes, despite having some grizzly murders, there are some moments of humour.
